For Beyond the Bleed, Lauren will guide participants through a shamanic drum journey inviting them to travel inward and reconnect with the time of their first menses.

The drum has been used across cultures for generations as an instrument of rhythm, ceremony, connection, and altered states of awareness. It invites the thinking mind to soften while journeying into deeper states of consciousness where we can access parts of ourselves we often cannot easily access. There is no "right" way to journey, but Lauren recommends headphones, an eye covering to decrease the stimulation to the optic nerve and a cozy, warm spot where you will not be disturbed. 

Within the journey, participants will be invited to meet their younger selves on their first bleed to witness what was present then, what may have been needed, and what wisdom or compassion they might offer that version of themselves now.
